Michal Ansky Recovers at Home After Self-Administered Laser Treatment

Israeli chef and entrepreneur Michal Ansky shared on Instagram that she is recovering at home after undergoing a laser treatment she administered to herself. This personal experience is part of her preparation for a new clinic she is building, where she plans to offer this treatment to future patients.

Ansky reflected on the personal responsibility involved in her new venture, stating that the phrase "If I am not for myself, who will be for me?" has taken on new meaning. While she previously interpreted it as a call to take charge of her life, she now sees it as encompassing the need to understand and meet her own needs, especially when undergoing a medical procedure she intends to offer others. She noted the irony of managing her business affairs via phone while her body requires rest and recovery.

She also acknowledged the business aspect of her post and the accompanying reel, admitting they were intended to generate interest in her upcoming clinic. Ansky explained that she has come to understand that there is no inherent contradiction between depth and commerce, or between a professional mission and a business. Her personal trial of the laser treatment is integral to how she is building the clinic and defining its future services.

This is not Ansky's first experience with medical procedures. Since 2019, she has been dealing with facial paralysis due to Bell's palsy. As part of her recovery, she underwent facial surgery in Boston in July 2020 and has since received ongoing treatments, including Botox injections in her neck muscles to help manage synkinesis and improve facial and neck muscle symmetry and movement.
