Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Ends Week Lower Amid Global Trends
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange concluded a shortened trading week on Thursday with significant declines across its main indices, ahead of the Sukkot holiday. The TA-35 index fell by 1.26% to close at 4,242.12 points, the TA-125 index dropped 1.39% to 4,100.40 points, and the TA-90 index lost 1.84%. This negative trend was influenced by downturns on Wall Street and a continued rise in U.S. 10-year Treasury yields, which reached approximately 5.14%. Weakness in domestic energy and infrastructure stocks also contributed to the market's decline. Trading volume was substantial, totaling around NIS 5 billion.
Among the top performers on the TA-125, Nayax led the gains, with its stock rising 4.62%. Qualitao followed, up 3.09%, and Palo Alto Networks saw a 2.80% increase. Camtek's stock climbed 2.35%, and Beit Shemesh Engines gained 1.48%.
Conversely, Electra Real Estate experienced the most significant drop, with its stock plummeting 11.16%. Rimon followed, falling 6.69%, and Nofar Energy lost 5.63%. Elco's shares decreased by 5.60%, and Doral Energy's stock declined 5.38%.
In currency markets, the U.S. dollar was trading at NIS 3.047, and the Euro at NIS 3.4662.
