Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Ends Day With Broad Declines
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange concluded its trading day with significant drops across its leading stock indices. The TA-90 index experienced the steepest fall, losing 1.42%, with real estate and construction stocks particularly underperforming. Bond markets also saw declines.
The TA-35 index decreased by 0.81% to close at 4,276.22 points, while the TA-125 index fell by 0.96% to 4,189.31 points. Among the notable gainers on the TA-125 were More Investments, up 3.44%, and Bezeq, up 2.42%. Conversely, prominent decliners included Arik Industries, which dropped 5.88%, and Amot Investments, down 5.40%.
Trading volumes were substantial, with approximately NIS 3.6 billion exchanged in stocks, NIS 7.2 billion in bonds, and NIS 2.7 billion in government-backed securities (Mak'am). The government bond market experienced moderate declines, with the Tel-Gov General index down 0.13% and the Tel-Gov Shekel index down 0.18%. Corporate bonds also saw slight decreases.
Exchange rates at the close were: Dollar-Shekel at 3.0200, Euro-Shekel at 3.5056, and Pound-Shekel at 4.0842.
