Supercomputer Predicts Israel's Nations League Fate

Finishing at the bottom of the group would mean a playoff match against a second-place team from a League C group. The winner of this playoff will secure a spot in League B for the next tournament. Despite the prediction of a last-place finish, the supercomputer forecasts Israel has a 60.1% chance of winning this crucial playoff game.

Looking at overall group standings, Israel's chances of finishing third are estimated at 27.9%, second at 19.9%, and first at a slim 11.9%. For the opening match against Austria, Israel has only a 19% chance of winning. Historically, Israel's record against Austria includes six losses, four draws, and three wins.

Israel's potential path to the Euro 2024 playoffs via the Nations League depends on finishing first in their group, or potentially second depending on other European Championship qualifying results.
