Michael Ackerman to Succeed Or Offer as Similarweb CEO in 2026
Digital intelligence platform Similarweb has announced Michael Ackerman as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding co-founder Or Offer. Ackerman is slated to assume the role on November 2, 2026, stepping into the position Offer held for nearly two decades. Offer announced his departure in May.
Ackerman brings approximately 20 years of senior leadership experience in data and technology. His previous roles include Chief Revenue Officer at data.ai (formerly App Annie), where he served a similar customer base to Similarweb. He also held senior positions in product and strategy at Cardlytics and in commercial management at Uber and Pinterest. Ackerman has prior experience with the Israeli market, having started his career in sales and strategy at the Israeli software company Kenshoo, now known as Skai.
Ackerman will manage Similarweb from the company's New York offices. The transition will be gradual, with Offer remaining involved to support Ackerman and the board, ensuring continuity for clients, partners, and employees. Harel Beit-On, Chairman of the Board, praised Offer's foundational work and stated that Ackerman's selection followed an extensive search aided by Spencer Stuart. Beit-On highlighted Ackerman's blend of data expertise, operational capabilities, and strategic understanding as crucial for the company's next growth phase.
Similarweb emphasized that the CEO transition does not signify a change in the company's business direction. Its strategy, operations, and financial forecasts remain unchanged. The company plans to continue focusing on expanding its AI-driven data products and accelerating business activities in existing and new markets.
