New Strikes on Iran Imminent, Israeli Source Tells Saudi Media

A new wave of strikes against Iran is "only a matter of time," according to an Israeli source speaking to Saudi channel Al-Hadath. The source indicated that Iran is increasingly transferring components related to its nuclear program to a site known as Pickaxe Mountain. This facility was not targeted in either the recent war that began in February or a previous conflict.

Pickaxe Mountain notably avoided strikes during the twelve-day war in June 2025, when Israel and the United States attacked several Iranian nuclear facilities. Since those bombings, Tehran has denied access to the affected nuclear installations for inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The agency has also been unable to verify the status of Iran's stockpile of uranium enriched to near weapons-grade levels.

Given Iran's reported increased movement of nuclear program elements to Pickaxe Mountain, the site could become a target in a future operation. U.S. President Donald Trump has previously stated he might order a strike on Pickaxe Mountain.
