Israel Assesses New Strikes on Iran's Nuclear Program Are Imminent

An unnamed Israeli source told Al-Hadath TV that a new round of strikes against Iran's nuclear program is "only a matter of time," despite previous Israeli and U.S. operations. The source indicated that Iran is increasingly moving components of its nuclear program to Mount Pikex, a site not targeted in past conflicts. Following Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in June 2025, Iran has denied IAEA inspectors access to affected sites, preventing verification of uranium enrichment levels. U.S. President Donald Trump has stated he might order a strike on Mount Pikex.

Earlier, Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei warned that Iran would respond to Trump's statements within hours. Rezaei also cautioned neighboring countries against supporting U.S. sanctions, threatening to halt air traffic with any nation that cooperates with Washington. This comes as Iran reportedly presented the U.S. with a list of conditions for de-escalation, including the lifting of shipping restrictions. The Trump administration has struggled to fully restore traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
