Hamas Willing to Implement Peace Council Roadmap for Gaza Reconstruction
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem stated the movement is ready to implement the Peace Council's roadmap for Gaza, while accusing the Israeli government of escalating operations in the enclave and violating the ceasefire agreement. Qassem criticized the Peace Council and its Director-General, Nickolay Mladenov, for failing to compel Israel to uphold its commitments.
Qassem urged all parties to facilitate the entry of a Palestinian technocrat committee into Gaza to assume administrative duties. He also called for the deployment of international forces as stipulated by the ceasefire agreement and its roadmap. This statement follows the Peace Council's presentation of a six-month reconstruction plan for Gaza, valued at $2.45 billion and encompassing 66 projects.
