Man Rescued by Crane After Climbing Tree for Sukkot Materials
A resident of Shoham became stranded approximately 12 meters up a palm tree on Wednesday after climbing it to trim branches for Sukkot decorations. Fire and rescue teams from the Ayalon station were dispatched to the scene following a call to their emergency hotline.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the man exhausted and unable to descend on his own. They utilized specialized equipment and a rescue crane to safely bring him down to the ground. The individual was unharmed and did not require medical attention.
The incident commander, Chief Firefighter Miki Ben Huta, stated that the rescue concluded "miraculously" without injuries but could have resulted in a severe tragedy. He urged the public to exercise personal responsibility and avoid unnecessary risks.
