Teenager Killed in Car Accident After Allegedly Being Chased
Ariel Sofer, a 13-year-old from Kiryat Ata, died tragically in a road accident on the Acre-Haifa highway. His mother, Chofit, told Ynet that Ariel had gone out with friends when another teenager allegedly began chasing him. In an attempt to escape, Ariel ran into the road and was struck by a car, sustaining fatal injuries.
"It's incomprehensible what happened to him," his mother stated, expressing her grief over the loss of her son, who had recently celebrated his Bar Mitzvah in March. She described Ariel as a smiling, kind-hearted boy who was always helpful.
The circumstances suggest the accident occurred as Ariel fled from a pursuer, leading him into the path of oncoming traffic. The incident has left his family devastated, struggling to come to terms with the sudden and violent end to his young life.
