IDF Restricts Access to Training Zones in Northern Israel During Sukkot Holiday

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that access for hikers to training areas, also known as firing zones, in northern Israel will be prohibited during the Sukkot holiday. The restriction applies to areas including the Golan Heights, Carmel, Menashe Hills, and the Netofa region.

The military urged the public to refrain from entering these restricted areas to allow security forces to carry out their missions without interruption. The IDF emphasized that training activities occur continuously in these zones and that any entry into a military area requires prior coordination and approval.

Entering a military area without authorization poses a risk to hikers' safety. Access will be permitted only after prior coordination. Hikers who encounter unexploded ordnance, ammunition, or suspicious objects are instructed to move away immediately and report to the Northern Command by calling 073-348-3007.
