The operation, which concluded last week with the demolition of tunnels in the area, initially involved installing cameras on the ridge following the tunnel explosions on July 30. However, intelligence indicated that Hezbollah fighters were attempting to emerge from the tunnels due to lack of food and water, prompting a shift to a sniper ambush strategy.

Major B., the company commander, recounted the tense moments leading up to the firefight, describing how his unit realized an encounter was imminent.
