Israel Standards Institute to Increase Importer Fees Next Month
The Standards Institution of Israel has informed importers that it will raise its fees for product inspections starting October 1. The price hikes will affect hourly rates for inspection work, leading to an average increase of 5% and up to 12% for certain goods. The increased costs are expected to impact a wide range of imported products, including food, toiletries, cosmetics, toys, and household items like dish soap, dishwasher tablets, and toilet blocks. Products covered by international agreements that exempt them from re-inspection will not be subject to the new tariffs.
