Teen Critically Injured After Being Hit by Car in Kiryat Bialik
A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Kiryat Bialik on Wednesday night. Emergency medical services received a report at 11:10 PM and arrived to find the teen lying on the road, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, and suffering from severe, multi-system trauma.
Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts, including the use of a defibrillator and artificial respiration. They transported the boy via a mobile intensive care unit to the hospital, continuing resuscitation efforts en route. His condition was described as critical.
"This was a very severe traffic accident," said MDA paramedic Gili Barliya. "The teenager lay on the road after being hit by a car, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, and suffering from multi-system trauma. We immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts... and evacuated him by MDA's intensive care unit while continuing resuscitation to the hospital with his condition defined as critical."
