Teen Critically Injured After Being Hit by Car in Kiryat Bialik

A 15-year-old boy was critically injured Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle on the Acre-Haifa road in Kiryat Bialik. Paramedics found the teenager with severe, multi-system trauma and began resuscitation efforts before transporting him to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. "This was a very severe traffic accident," said MDA paramedic Gili Barliya. "The boy was lying on the road unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, suffering from multi-system trauma. We immediately began advanced resuscitation, including defibrillation and ventilation, and transported him by intensive care ambulance while continuing resuscitation efforts, his condition critical."

This incident follows a similar one the previous day, when a 30-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured by a car on the same Acre-Haifa road in Kiryat Bialik. He was evacuated to Rambam Hospital, sedated and ventilated, with a severe head injury. The 50-year-old female driver of the car was taken to the hospital in light condition.

In separate incidents, a 30-year-old electric bicycle rider was killed Tuesday after colliding with a truck at the Zichron Yaakov junction on Highway 4. Earlier that day, a 60-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash involving a truck near the settlement of Nokdim in the Judean Hills. During Yom Kippur, two people were killed in two separate fatal accidents: a motorcyclist near Jerusalem and a truck driver whose vehicle overturned in northern Israel.
