Manor Solomon Dismisses Austrian Journalist's War Crimes Question

Israeli national team star Manor Solomon responded sharply to an Austrian journalist who questioned him about alleged war crimes in Gaza during a press conference ahead of their Nations League match. The journalist asked Solomon about a statement made by the Austrian president, to which Solomon replied, "I haven't heard about it and I don't care. I'm here to play football."

When the journalist insisted, stating "He said it," Solomon reiterated his focus on the upcoming game. "But why do you want me to respond to that? I am a footballer and I came to play football, I am only focused on that," he said.

The journalist continued to press, asserting his right to ask questions. Solomon then delivered a sarcastic remark, "By the way, you are doing a great job."

The exchange occurred during a press conference where both Solomon and coach Ran Ben Shimon spoke ahead of Israel's opening Nations League campaign match against Austria on Thursday. The team held its press conference on Wednesday evening.
