Israeli Border Police Officer Critically Injured in West Bank Car Ramming Attack

A Border Police officer sustained critical injuries in a car ramming attack near the Makabim checkpoint on Tuesday afternoon. The assailant was neutralized at the scene. The incident occurred just three days after a fatal shooting attack in the Binyamin region, where Natanel Sharon, a father of six, was killed.

The emergency services received the report of the vehicle ramming at 4:54 PM. Paramedics and medical personnel from Magen David Adom, United Hatzalah, and the IDF were dispatched to the scene. They provided initial treatment to the victim, a man estimated to be in his 30s, who was found unconscious.

"We were dispatched to a car ramming attack near the Bel checkpoint," said Itzik Kara and Natanel Cohen, United Hatzalah paramedics who were first on the scene. "With the assistance of IDF medical teams, we provided initial medical care at the scene, including respiratory support, administering life-saving medications, bandaging, and stabilization for the man (around 35 years old), who was then evacuated in serious and unstable condition."
