Dozens of Haredi Protesters Demonstrate in Jerusalem and Near Abu Kabir in Tel Aviv Over Arrests of Draft Evaders
Dozens of Haredi protesters arrived near the Abu Kabir detention facility in Tel Aviv, following the arrest of 19 Haredi protesters who evaded military service and the intention to transfer them to military custody.
In addition, police reported dozens of protesters who arrived in the area of the Russian Compound in Jerusalem and are trying to block the movement of vehicles transporting the detainees. Clashes between protesters and police are taking place at the scene. Demonstrations are also expected outside Nitzan Prison in Ramla and Hadarim Prison in the Sharon area.
