Haredi Yeshiva Integrates Torah Study with University Degrees and IDF Intelligence Service

The Matatvia Yeshiva is pioneering a unique educational path for Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) students, combining rigorous Torah scholarship with academic studies for a bachelor's degree from the Open University and preparation for service in IDF intelligence units. Students describe the initial transition as a "shock" due to the intense academic and mental workload, balancing advanced Talmudic studies with university coursework.

To cope with the pressure, the yeshiva fosters a strong sense of community, with its 50 students functioning as a "family."
