Israeli Reservists Raid Mount Dov, Destroy Hezbollah Arms Cache

Reservists from the 5030th Battalion have concluded a 100-day period of active duty on Mount Dov, completing their fifth mobilization since the war began. During their deployment in the northern sector, the soldiers conducted defensive and offensive operations, accumulating 450 days of combat zone experience. The battalion's primary mission involved defending positions and uncovering Hezbollah's hidden infrastructure, including underground facilities.

Following extensive preparation and route clearing by engineering forces, intelligence led the soldiers to a Hezbollah weapons depot near the village of Al-Ghajar. They also discovered several ready-to-fire rocket launchers aimed at Israel, complete with target lists. Some of the weapons were confiscated, while the remaining assets were destroyed by the unit.

Commanders highlighted the valuable professional experience reservists bring from their civilian lives, contributing to the successful completion of missions. Despite the challenges of extended separation from families during holidays and the start of the school year, the soldiers maintained high motivation. The reservists view their service as a crucial national task to secure Israel's northern border and counter the Hezbollah threat.
