Charity Drive Offers Rare Wine Remnants for Donations

The "Kupat Ha'ir" charity organization is running a special campaign for the Sukkot holiday, encouraging donations to help needy families prepare for the festivities. The organization emphasizes the importance of hospitality during Sukkot, citing the Zohar, which states that guests should be prioritized over one's own needs.

To facilitate this, Kupat Ha'ir has identified and vetted families in need, creating a list of those requiring financial assistance to provide holiday meals. The campaign suggests that instead of hosting guests in potentially cramped sukkahs, donors can contribute funds that enable these families to purchase and prepare their own food.

As an incentive for contributions, donors will receive a portion of the "Havdalah" wine used by Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, a prominent rabbinic authority, at the conclusion of Yom Kippur. This wine is described as a "cup of blessing" and is considered a "segulah," or a spiritual remedy, for great wealth and success.

The organization reminds potential donors of a promise in the Torah: "If you bring joy to My people, I will bring joy to yours." The campaign aims to ensure that families in need can also celebrate Sukkot with joy and sustenance.
