Hapoel Haifa Suspends Player Anis Porat Eiyash After Sideline Outburst
Hapoel Haifa player Anis Porat Eiyash faced the club's disciplinary committee on Wednesday following his behavior during the team's loss to Beitar Jerusalem. The committee, led by CEO Itai Rak and including a representative from the players' union, heard the case regarding Porat Eiyash's actions after he was substituted.
Porat Eiyash apologized for his conduct, acknowledging his mistake. He stated he would personally apologize to the coach, staff, and his teammates. He also had a phone conversation with head coach Haim Silvas to express his regret.
As a consequence, the disciplinary committee decided that Porat Eiyash will pay for a team meal. He will also return to full training with the squad after his suspension. The incident occurred when Porat Eiyash, after being substituted, cursed coach Haim Silvas just before entering the locker room.
The club's decision aims to address the player's outburst and reintegrate him into the team while imposing a penalty.
