Hapoel Haifa Suspends Player Anis Porat Eiyash After Sideline Outburst
Hapoel Haifa player Anis Porat Eiyash faced the club's disciplinary committee on Wednesday following his conduct during the team's loss to Beitar Jerusalem. The committee, led by club CEO Itay Rak and including a representative from the players' union, heard the case regarding Porat Eiyash's behavior after he was substituted.
Porat Eiyash apologized for his actions, acknowledging his mistake. He stated his intention to apologize directly to the coach, staff, and his teammates. He also had a phone conversation with head coach Haim Silvas to express his remorse.
As a consequence, the disciplinary committee decided that Porat Eiyash will pay for a team meal. He will also be reinstated to full training with the squad, having been previously suspended. The incident occurred when Porat Eiyash, after being substituted shortly after entering the game, cursed coach Haim Silvas as he left the field and before entering the locker room.
