Retired General Harel Knafo Endorses Smotrich for Election

Retired Brigadier General Harel Knafo has publicly declared his intention to vote for Bezalel Smotrich in the upcoming elections, stating, "I say with a full mouth, I will vote for Smotrich." Knafo, a former commander of the Paratroopers' 890th Battalion and head of the Southern Command's staff, believes Smotrich's actions in Judea and Samaria have effectively dismantled the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state, which he views as a disaster. He praised Smotrich as "the only one who promises and delivers."

Knafo reiterated his support for Smotrich, noting that he also voted for him in the previous election. He expressed concern that the establishment of a Palestinian government would signal the imminent end of the State of Israel. Knafo previously held positions including commander of a reserve paratrooper brigade and head of the NCO and Infantry Training School (Bislamach).
