Hasidic Courts in Bnei Brak Packed for Yom Kippur Services

The holy halls of Hasidic courts in Bnei Brak were filled to capacity with tens of thousands of guests during Yom Kippur. Photographer Shuki Lerer documented the services from the evening of the holy day through its conclusion. Lerer captured images of the closing prayers, known as Neilah, and the uplifting moments as Hasidic leaders held their "pure tables" gatherings for their followers after the fast.

Bnei Brak, known as a city of Torah and Hasidism, saw a massive influx of worshippers for the Day of Atonement. The photographs showcase the immense crowds that converged on the various Hasidic dynasties' prayer halls for the solemn occasion.
