Two Arrested for Yom Kippur Grocery Store Break-In in Beersheba

Beersheba police arrested two suspects within hours of a reported break-in at a grocery store that occurred on the eve of Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism. The suspects are accused of stealing two bottles of alcohol from the establishment.

Following the report, officers from the Beersheba station launched an investigation and worked to identify those involved. They quickly identified and apprehended one suspect, a resident of Beersheba, and within hours, a second suspect, a resident of Shagav Shalom, was also detained.

Both suspects, aged 19 and 25, were taken to the Beersheba station for further questioning. Beersheba Police Commander Superintendent Kfir Solomon stated that his officers are "resolutely working to locate suspects in property offenses and to prosecute them." He added, "In this case, within a short time from receiving the report, the officers acted to locate the suspects, conducted investigative actions, and brought about their detention. We will continue to act resolutely against those who harm property and the sense of security of the city's residents, until justice is served."
