Shi Segalovich is close to finalizing a deal with Elitzur Netanya to become the club’s sporting director as it prepares for next season in Israel’s National League. The report says this is his first step with the team after its relegation this season.
Segalovich, 42, coached Maccabi Ra’anana this season after guiding the club up from the second division. Netanya is hoping he can repeat that kind of success with the yellow team, which dropped down this year.
He left the Sharon-area club in February after five straight losses, all by double digits, at a point when the team’s record stood at 15-3. Before that, he had worked at Netanya as an assistant coach.
Segalovich’s previous coaching roles also included M.K. Beka’a, Hapoel Gilboa/Galil, Ironi Nahariya, Elitzur Yavne, and Ra’anana. The article also notes his work in Nahariya and Gilboa/Galil in coaching roles, and says he served in a coaching capacity across several clubs.
