Cyclist Dies After Collision With Vehicle on Highway 4
A man from the town of Fureidis, identified as Abdel Karim Subhi Marai, died on Tuesday after his bicycle collided with a vehicle on Highway 4 near the Zichron Yaakov junction. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and attempted resuscitation, but the victim was pronounced dead at the location. A paramedic described the cyclist as unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, and stated that despite resuscitation efforts, his injuries were critical.
The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. According to recent data from the National Road Safety Authority, 327 people, including 126 Arab citizens, have died in road accidents and pedestrian incidents across Israel since the beginning of the year.
