Amit Segal Responds to Critic on Radio: 'I'll Resign at His Request'

Channel 12 commentator Amit Segal responded sarcastically to a listener who criticized him during a live broadcast on Radio 103fm on Tuesday. The listener accused journalists of avoiding confrontation and criticism of Segal. Segal, who was listening to the program, sent a message to host Barak Sari stating, "Tell him I'll resign at his request. I'll take stock."

The confrontation began following criticism of Segal by Aviv Horwitz, who works at Keshet 12. When the listener asked Sari to address Horwitz's comments, Sari explained he could not take a side as both he and Horwitz work at Keshet 12. The listener then claimed that journalists, including Ben Caspit who broadcasts with Segal, fear confronting him.

Sari dismissed this, stating, "We've been through too much in life to be afraid," attributing the reluctance to confront Segal to collegiality among colleagues. The listener acknowledged respecting Segal professionally but suggested his loyalty to the right-wing influences his work.

Sari then revealed that Segal himself was listening to the program in real-time and had sent the sarcastic response via text message after hearing the criticism.
