Israeli Cybersecurity Firm Cyera Raises Additional $400 Million, Totaling $1 Billion
Israeli cybersecurity firm Cyera announced it has secured an additional $400 million from Goldman Sachs Alternatives, bringing its total funding to $1 billion within three months. This latest investment, part of Series G, follows a $400 million round in June led by Evolution Equity.
Cyera plans to use the funds to accelerate the development of its AI security platform, which integrates data security and identity management. The company aims to address the new risks introduced by the increasing use of AI agents within organizations. These agents can access sensitive information and perform autonomous actions, posing challenges for traditional security systems.
"As AI agents gain more access to information and systems and can perform more actions independently, organizations must know they remain in control," said Cyera CEO Yotam Shacham. "The current investment will allow us to continue connecting data security and identities, and give the world's largest organizations the confidence to expand their use of AI safely."
The funding will also support Cyera's expansion into the U.S. federal market and further growth in Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. The company, founded in 2021 by veterans of elite Israeli intelligence units, is now valued at over $12 billion.
Cyera recently acquired Oasis Security, enhancing its platform's ability to manage and secure non-human identities, thereby enabling unified access control for humans, systems, and AI agents. Goldman Sachs Alternatives noted that AI security is poised to become a major sector, with Cyera well-positioned due to its early identification of market needs, technological advancements, and customer trust.
