Teen Arrested After Claiming to Be Terrorist in Online Chat
Police in Bnei Brak arrested a 16-year-old boy from the southern Bedouin town of Lakiya on Tuesday morning after he made suspicious statements during an online conversation. The minor allegedly claimed to be a "terrorist" in the chat, raising concerns of a potential nationalistic-motivated incident.
Responding to the report, officers from the Bnei Brak station initiated a search and quickly located and apprehended the suspect in the city. The teenager was taken to the police station for questioning regarding the content of his messages and the circumstances that led him to send them.
Investigators are examining the chat exchange and the suspect's statements to determine the nature of the incident and the boy's intentions. The investigation is ongoing.
