Haifa Resident Faces Indictment for Punching Police Investigator
Police said a prosecutor’s statement has been filed ahead of an indictment against a 37-year-old Haifa resident accused of attacking a police investigator from the city’s station.
According to the suspicion, the man first came to the police station so officers could verify his identity through police systems after he had refused to identify himself to officers in the field.
Several hours later, near the station in Haifa, he allegedly punched the investigator who had identified him. Police did not say what injuries, if any, were caused, and the case is now moving toward formal charges.
