Motorcyclist Dies in Jerusalem Area Traffic Accident
A motorcyclist, approximately 30 years old, was killed on Sunday in a traffic accident on Route 50, near the Atarot industrial zone close to Jerusalem. Emergency medical services (Magen David Adom, MDA) evacuated the rider to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem in critical condition. Police later confirmed his death.
The MDA received the initial report at 2:30 PM. MDA paramedic Nadav Tayeb described the scene, stating, "The injured man was lying down, suffering from injuries all over his body. We provided him with medical treatment, including respiratory assistance, and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care unit to the hospital while his condition was critical."
Police officers from the Lev Habira station responded to the scene. Traffic accident investigators from the Jerusalem district also arrived and have begun investigating the circumstances of the crash.
