TV Host Haim Etgar Reveals Lasting Hearing Damage from On-Air Altercation
Six years after a violent encounter during the filming of the show 'Yatza Tzadik' (You Got It Right), Israeli journalist and TV host Haim Etgar has revealed the significant physical toll the incident has taken. While appearing on the program 'Special Interview' on Keshet 12, Etgar was asked about the physical altercation with a plumber he exposed.
Etgar stated that he does not suffer from psychological trauma but disclosed a lasting physical injury. "No, I am not traumatized, although as part of that incident I took something to the head and my hearing was damaged on the left side," he explained. The incident occurred when Etgar confronted a plumber he had exposed on his show.
Beyond his personal injury, Etgar expressed deep frustration regarding the perceived leniency of the punishment given to the plumber. "The tragedy is that he was convicted thanks to us and also following the attack, he received a not-long prison sentence, and after a short time, I again started receiving complaints from the same people in the same way," Etgar said, conveying his pain over the repeated offenses by the individual.
