Moroccan Activists Plan Nationwide Protests Against Israel Ties
Activists in Morocco are organizing three days of nationwide protests against the deepening normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel. The Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against Normalization, a non-governmental organization, has called on its branches to hold large-scale demonstrations from September 25th to 27th.
These protests are scheduled to coincide with Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi's trip to New York. During his visit, Ashkenazi met with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, to finalize further upgrades to the bilateral relationship between the two countries. The activists view these developments as an unacceptable expansion of normalization.
