Connected Star Carol Zvi Dies at 45 After Cancer Battle

Carol Zvi, a participant in the eighth season of the Israeli reality television show "Connected" (Mekhuberim) and a well-known figure in Tel Aviv's nightlife, passed away last Friday at the age of 45 following a prolonged battle with cancer. Zvi is survived by her son, who recently celebrated his ninth birthday.

Her sister, Adi, described Zvi as a unique and special woman, "powerful, full of love and passion for life," who had the ability to love and be loved intensely. "Her light shines far and will continue to guide us even after her passing," Adi added, noting that Carol taught her to love life.

Before appearing on "Connected," Zvi was a prominent figure in Tel Aviv's nightlife scene. Alongside her partner and business associate Miki Weiner, she managed the "Geula" bar and was previously associated with the "Helen Carolla" bar near the Carmel Market. The cameras in "Connected" followed Zvi during a tumultuous period, documenting her pregnancy and the birth of her son after years of trying to conceive. During her pregnancy, a growth was discovered in her neck, a time when she was also coping with the death of her sister Karin from cancer.

Friends and acquaintances paid tribute to Zvi on social media, remembering her from both the Tel Aviv nightlife and her later life. One friend recalled a particularly enjoyable evening in 2007 at "Helen Carolla" with Zvi and her sister, describing it as "one of the most fun nights of my life." This friend also noted that their subsequent meetings moved from bars to playgrounds and play areas, remembering Zvi as "always smiling and appearing as a powerful woman and a source of inspiration."
