Teenager Survives Life-Threatening Allergic Reaction in Ashkelon

United Hatzalah paramedics saved the life of a 17-year-old boy who suffered a life-threatening allergic reaction in Ashkelon. Paramedic Betty Amar reported that the teenager developed the reaction after exposure to lactose, to which he is sensitive. She administered an EpiPen, an automatic adrenaline injector, stabilizing his condition. The boy was then transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.
