Hezbollah Official: Resistance Is Sole Path to Liberation

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem asserted that resistance is the only way to liberate land, dismissing all other approaches as a waste of time. He emphasized that the resistance option has proven effective in Lebanon, despite facing a stronger adversary.

Speaking at the Martyr of Resistance conference marking the 55th anniversary of the Imamia Students Organization in Pakistan, Qassem stated, "Resistance is the only way to liberate the land. Confronting arrogance and Israel can only be done through resistance." He highlighted that Hezbollah's experience in Lebanon demonstrates resistance's ability to liberate land and people, forcing the Israeli enemy to withdraw in humiliation and revitalizing the Palestinian cause.

Qassem reiterated that the Palestinian issue is central and that "resistance in all its forms is required," defining it as rejecting the enemy and fighting when possible, according to each individual's role. He also commented on the conflict involving Iran, stating that attacks on the Islamic Republic aimed to overthrow its government but that Iran had triumphed by resisting and preventing the enemy from achieving its objectives, even if the struggle is prolonged.

These remarks come amid ongoing Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon. Last week, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced the destruction of Hezbollah tunnels in the Ali Taher heights, declaring them part of Israel's security zone and vowing to eliminate anyone approaching them.
