Businessman Roni Mana Accuses Journalist Amit Segal of Bias

Businessman Roni Mana, a vocal critic of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has launched a sharp attack on Channel 12 political commentator Amit Segal. Mana accused Segal of being "fully enlisted to help Netanyahu" and failing to present a balanced perspective on the Prime Minister's past interactions with Arab political figures.

Mana's criticism comes amid controversy surrounding Sami Abu Shehadeh, chairman of the Balad party. A video resurfaced showing Abu Shehadeh in a 2021 interview stating that Netanyahu, then opposition leader, and his associates had engaged in discussions with him and his party. Abu Shehadeh mentioned conversations with then-Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin and Dr. Ahmed Tibi.

Mana shared the video and added his own commentary, asserting that Segal omitted the fact that Netanyahu had worked with these figures, passing laws together. Mana characterized the current discourse as a "fear campaign" and dismissed Abu Shehadeh's influence, suggesting he is insignificant and should be disqualified from the Knesset and sent to Ramallah.

Furthermore, Mana directly addressed Segal, urging him on his program 'Meet the Press' to interview a woman who appeared on another show, claiming she would refute any notion of betrayal. Mana challenged Segal to be a "man" and be honest with his viewers, suggesting Segal focus instead on allegations that Netanyahu was aware of the October 7th events and delayed his response, and that his wife Sara prevented him from leaving their home due to security fears during the initial hours of the invasion.
