Businessman Roni Mana Comments on Netanyahu's Past Affair
The 1993 "hot tape" affair resurfaced this week following an interview by Dr. Ruth Bar, who served as Benjamin Netanyahu's strategic advisor and pollster at the time. Bar, who later revealed she had an affair with Netanyahu early in his political career, described him as exhibiting a "deep and almost frightening sense of superiority." She also made a pointed remark about the public discussion of their affair, suggesting people "ask him, he runs to the television to talk about it," which ignited a significant social media storm.
Businessman Roni Mana, once close to the Netanyahu couple but now a sharp critic, took notice of the online controversy. In a satirical response to a post suggesting Dr. Bar join the political arena, Mana posted a provocative comment. He wrote, "If Bibi reserves a spot for her, he wins big. He gains twice: once he gets rid ofשרה (Sara Netanyahu), and second, he wins and also gains a wife who is a real doctor."
Mana continued his critique of the Prime Minister's marital situation, stating, "By the way, they are very well-matched. She looks amazing without Photoshop, and he's also closing a circle. I promise to vote for Netanyahu." These remarks caused a considerable stir online, bringing renewed attention to the complex past relationship between Mana and the Netanyahu family.
