Two Young Brothers Injured After Falling From Backyard Canopy
Two brothers, aged 4 and 6, were moderately injured on Shabbat morning after falling from a torn tarp canopy in the backyard of their home in Rekhasim, a northern Israeli town. The children were climbing on the canopy when the material ripped, causing them to fall and sustain head injuries.
Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah responded to the scene, providing initial treatment before transporting the boys to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. Their condition was described as moderate.
Ariel Ben Albaz, a Shabbat duty officer for United Hatzalah, stated that the children fell after climbing on the canopy, which tore. He confirmed they received initial medical aid at the scene and were then evacuated to Rambam hospital in moderate condition.
An appeal was made for prayers for the recovery of the two children, identified as David Chai, son of Sara, and Yehuda, son of Sara. This incident follows a series of falls and injuries among children in the northern region and in Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) communities in recent weeks. Two weeks prior, a two-year-old girl was moderately injured in Bnei Brak after falling from a height of approximately one meter.
