Grief Unites: Mayaan Adam Defends Bereaved Shin Bet Official Against MK Gottlieb

Mayaan Adam, who lost her sister in the October 7th Hamas attack, fiercely defended Mira Shoshani, a senior Shin Bet official who also lost her daughter on that day, against accusations made by Knesset Member Tali Gottlieb.

Gottlieb had publicly alleged internal betrayal that contributed to the Hamas attack, a claim Adam found abhorrent. Speaking on Channel 12, Adam, deeply affected by her own loss, stated that Shoshani's story of grief resonated personally. Shoshani had detailed her devastating experience and loss in a recent film.

Adam launched a sharp personal attack on Gottlieb, calling her "the ugliest person inside I have ever heard in my life." She argued that Gottlieb's malice could not inflict further pain on Shoshani, who was already suffering immensely. Adam contrasted Shoshani's significant contributions to Israel, which she believes history will remember, with Gottlieb's perceived lack of lasting impact, predicting Gottlieb would be "just a joke" forgotten by history.

Adam emphasized the vast difference between the two women, stating Shoshani was "nothing compared to this giant woman, against her contribution to the State of Israel and against her loss." Adam concluded by appealing to the media to stop providing Gottlieb with a platform, pleading, "I beg you, stop paying attention to her already."
