Hebrew Hate Speech and Star of David Sprayed on Palestinian Home

Hebrew hate slogans and a Star of David were spray-painted on a house in the Palestinian village of Kusra on Saturday. Israeli military forces arrived at the scene.

This incident follows recent remarks by U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Harkey, who labeled perpetrators of "hate crimes" in Judea and Samaria as "terrorists." He stated in a Kan News interview that their actions significantly harm Israel's image in the United States, adding, "It hurts the image of Israel as a nation and as a people. And I find it regrettable because right now Israel needs all the friends it can get, it doesn't need more enemies."

Last month, Harkey referred to Jewish rioters who besieged Palestinian residents in Kusra as "Israeli terrorists." During that siege, soldiers were filmed praying with some of the Jewish rioters, an incident that caused international complications for Israel.

An IDF investigation into the prayer incident determined that the force commander was explicitly instructed to avoid actions that could be interpreted as identifying with or supporting illegal activities by settlers, and to maintain distance from the rioters.
