Sderot Home Sold for NIS 1.5 Million to Jerusalem Family

A four-room house in the Naot HaNevim neighborhood of Sderot has been sold for 1.5 million shekels. The 106 square meter house, built approximately 30 years ago on a 225 square meter plot, includes a 110 square meter yard and a safe room. The property, which requires renovation, was listed for 1.57 million shekels and remained on the market for three months. The seller was an heir residing abroad, and the buyers are a family from the Jerusalem area who purchased the home for residential purposes.

According to real estate agent Arik Hadad of Re/Max Sderot, the city has become highly sought after since the October 7th attacks, attracting residents and investors from across the country. He attributes this demand to the city's development, improved municipal services, particularly in education, and enhanced accessibility due to transportation upgrades. The combination of these factors, along with tax benefits, makes Sderot attractive to a wide demographic, including many high-tech professionals working in central Israel.

Hadad noted that property prices in Sderot have been steadily increasing for the past 15 years, with recent growth primarily in ground-attached properties. Apartment prices have remained stable for the last two years, with four-room apartments typically selling for between 1.4 and 1.5 million shekels, depending on their condition. He believes the buyer secured a good deal, as the house is habitable and intended for renovation and investment.
