Thousands of Christians Rally in Amsterdam to Show Support for Israel
Thousands of Dutch Christian supporters of Israel gathered in Amsterdam's Dam Square on September 18, 2026, for a solidarity rally titled "Stand with Israel." The event featured speeches from Chief Rabbi of the Netherlands Benjamin Jacobs and Chris Stoffer, leader of the conservative Reformed Political Party.
During the pro-Israel demonstration, Dutch police arrested 45 pro-Palestinian activists who arrived to protest despite a municipal ban on counter-demonstrations at the location. Authorities relocated the counter-protest to a site approximately 500 meters away due to restrictions implemented to maintain order during the main rally.
Additionally, several participants in the pro-Israel rally tore down a Palestinian flag that had been hung on a nearby H&M building. Details regarding any further police actions against those involved in removing the flag have not yet been released.
