Leading Rabbis Unite in Jerusalem Rally Against Arrests of Yeshiva Students

In response to a wave of arrests targeting yeshiva students and new restrictions on the Torah world in Israel, thousands are set to gather in Jerusalem for a major rally of awakening and protest. The event will take place Tuesday evening at 8:00 PM at the intersection of Ohalei Yosef and Grossberg streets in the Old City.

The rally will feature prominent rabbis from across the ultra-Orthodox spectrum, including Sephardic, Lithuanian, and Hasidic leaders. Among them are Rabbi Moshe Tzadka, head of Porat Yosef Yeshiva; Rabbi Dan Segal, a respected supervisor; and Rabbi Tzvi Meir Zilberberg, a Hasidic spiritual mentor. Their joint participation underscores the unified concern for the Torah world as a whole, emphasizing that the crisis affects all sectors of the Haredi community.

During the gathering, the rabbis will deliver stirring speeches calling for divine mercy and spiritual strengthening. Attendees will also engage in communal prayer, seeking heavenly compassion for the Torah scholars and yeshiva students facing these challenges. The rally reflects deep anxiety within the community over the arrests and the perceived threat to the sanctity of Torah study in the Holy Land.
