Teenager Amichai Attia Laid to Rest in Itamar After Fatal Hit-and-Run
Amichai Attia, a 17-year-old resident of the settlement of Itamar in the West Bank, was laid to rest on Friday. Attia was killed after being struck by a vehicle in the "Village" shopping complex. His aunt, Libona Esther, described him as a "sweet as honey" boy with a captivating smile, known for his excellent sense of humor, positive outlook, and friendly nature.
She told Kan Reshet Bet radio that the family had not yet received full details of the incident, stating, "We only know we received the terrible news that a vehicle hit him, and we are waiting for the results of the police investigation." Attia was remembered as someone who was not easily discouraged, very sociable, and always pleasant and welcoming.
His aunt expressed gratitude for the "amazing support" the family is receiving from the Itamar community, friends, and the wider Israeli public during their time of grief. The funeral took place in Itamar, located in the West Bank.
