The IDF on Sunday released the name of the fourth soldier killed in a tank incident in southern Lebanon, Sgt. Nove Havshush, 20, from Geva Binyamin. Havshush served as an armored fighter in Battalion 52 of the 401st Iron Tracks Division, and his name was the last to be cleared for publication from the weekend incident.
The tank crew was operating in southern Lebanon during Shabbat when the incident occurred. In the same event, Battalion 52 commander Lt. Col. Dor Gedalia Ben Shimon and three other fighters were killed. Two of those soldiers had already been identified publicly, Sgt. Yoav Klein from Herzliya and Sgt. Liav Kebabia from Hod HaSharon.
With Havshush's name now released, the army has completed notifying all of the families of those killed in the tank incident. Separately, another combat event in the same fighting zone claimed the life of Staff Sgt. Nir Ben Ari, 21, from Kerem Maharal, who served as a fighter in the Maglan unit of the Commando Brigade.
Thirteen soldiers were wounded in the incident that killed Ben Ari. Two of the wounded are listed in serious condition, and one additional combat officer is in moderate condition. The injured are being treated in hospitals in Israel, and their families have been informed.
