Liberman Accuses Netanyahu of Knowing Qatari Funds Reached Hamas Military Wing
Avigdor Liberman, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, has accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of knowingly allowing Qatari funds to flow to Hamas's military wing. Liberman cited documents and testimonies published in Yedioth Ahronoth's "7 Days" magazine, which reportedly show Netanyahu was repeatedly warned from 2019 onwards that Qatari money was reaching Hamas's armed forces.
In a post on social media platform X, Liberman stated that he resigned as Defense Minister when Netanyahu decided to allow Qatari cash into Hamas, warning that the policy would lead to disaster. He further claimed that both military intelligence (Aman) and the Shin Bet security agency also warned the Prime Minister about the funds reaching the military wing. "Netanyahu knew, and knowingly continued to transfer millions to terrorists," Liberman wrote.
