I will serve as the opposition leader and we will win the next election."

Political sources familiar with Netanyahu's conduct and Likud election campaigns clarified that these remarks should not be interpreted as an admission of the possibility of defeat. They described the statement as a calculated message intended to preemptively establish his position both internally and within the broader political system.

The primary objective of this message, according to these sources, is to unequivocally signal that should he lose power, it will not trigger a leadership challenge within the Likud party. Instead, he plans to remain at the helm of the party and lead the opposition.
